The Story

This colourful NZ Kereru Wood Pigeon Iron On Patch is one of a set of 4 patches featuring native New Zealand birds.

The other patches are of the Tui, Piwakawaka (Fantail), and Kiwi.

The kereru is one of our largest native birds, seen in the forest and also in home gardens, particularly if there are berry trees growing there.

Iron the kereru patch onto your cap, bag, backpack, jeans or jacket, to show where you are from or where you have been.  Instantly recognisable!

It is recommended that you only apply the patch to firm fabrics.  Because of the heat needed to apply it, also limit your fabrics to cotton or linen, natural fibres that can take the heat.

Instructions:
1. Heat iron to cotton setting (190 - 200C), no steam.
2. Iron the area where the patch is to go.
3. Place the patch with design facing up, against the pre-warmed fabric.
4. Cover the patch with a piece of fabric to protect it (muslin is good for this).
5. Iron for 40 seconds on the front, then another 40 seconds on the reverse of the garment.
