This bone and wood necklace is carved in the shape of a traditional Maori fish hook, bound beautifully at the top, and surface carved with a Polynesian design. The combination of all this detail is a fantastic carving to wear round your neck.
The necklace measures approximately 6.5cm (2 1/2") long and is finished off with a string cord with adjustable bone toggle.
The Maori Hook design carries a spiritual meaning, as it is believed to bring peace, prosperity, good health, and safe travel over water. This necklace is too precious to wear in the water though! But it would make a great gift for the surfer, paddle boarder, fisherman, and sailors.
