This ANZAC Day Soldiers Cross Helmet and Poppy Garden Ornament is made from Corten Steel.
Corten steel gains a rusty patina over time, but not the rust you get on ordinary steel (which lifts up and falls off over time). The rusty look is actually a protective coating that forms from the effects of atmospheric conditions. When your Cross turns rusty will depend on the weather conditions where you live. In the meantime it will have a typical grey steel appearance.
The Cross stands approximately 23 1/2cm (9 1/4") tall, minus its stake.
Perfect to bring out for Anzac Day, or keep in the ground year round. Also could be popped by a grave.
